Product Description

A chilling vat is an essential piece of equipment in the dairy processing industry, designed to rapidly lower the temperature of liquids and semi-solid food products. This controlled cooling process helps maintain food safety standards, preserves freshness, and extends shelf life by inhibiting bacterial growth. Chilling vats are widely used in dairy processing, beverage production, and other food industries where temperature regulation is critical.

Design & Construction:

  1. Material: Chilling vats are made of high-grade stainless steel (SS) to ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and ease of cleaning. The inner and outer surface of the vat is polished to prevent contamination and bacterial buildup. The insulation is done by an Automatic PUF (Polyurethane Foam) filling machine to ensure the density of the PUF throughout the body. The density and the thickness of insulation prevents the loss of temperature ensuring the quality of milk.
  2. Structure: The structure of the vat is typically cylindrical or rectangular in shape, depending upon the application and requirements. Vats are equipped with insulated walls to prevent heat exchange and improve energy efficiency. Vats are equipped with agitator for uniform cooling and ensuring the quality. 
  3. Cooling Mechanism:  Dimple plate (Pillow Plate)  system is used in the vat for the optimal cooling of the milk. Suitable compressor and condensers are also used according to the capacity for the efficient cooling. Thermal sensors and automated controls help regulating temperatures precisely.
  4. Safety Mechanism: Voltmeter, Ammeter is used to monitor the voltage and ampere. A timer is set to maintain the life of the compressor and other accessories. Push Bottom Switch, Phase Preventer, Contactor, MCB, Relay, Toggle Switch and other safety equipment are integrated in the control panel for the safety of the machine.
